• Optimum processing conditions at +15°C to +25°C, relative humidity 40% to 75%, material temperature +15°C to +25°C
• Do not apply to surfaces exposed to hot or strong sunlight, as the applied coating may dry too quickly. Do not apply if rain is expected within 3 hours of application.
• If in doubt, create a test area to determine compatibility, adhesion and appearance. The results may vary depending on the type of wood, especially with oily, colour- intensive and resinous woods.
• Visual wood discolorations due to moisture exposure (e.g. mildew stains, run-ins and blue stain) are better covered by using pigmented variants.
• Shake the contents well.
• Transfer material to a LOBA varnish bucket before applying.
• Avoid drops falling on the surface, smooth out any drops directly with a brush.

Thinner / Mixing

DeckFinish Color can be mixed with the transparent version to reduce opacity.

Application tool / application rate

LOBA oil brush, soft brush / 100-120ml/m². Actual material consumption may vary depending on the type of wood, wood moisture and the weathering condition of the surface. With strongly weathered surfaces, a significantly higher material consumption must be expected.

Drying time

• Overworking after 2-3 hours, within 24 hours.
• Light use after drying overnight.
• Full load capacity after 48 hours.

Initial treatment

• Prepare the substrate according to the specifications for "old used decks" or "newly installed decks" in the technical information for the LOBA DeckDegrayer product.
• Apply LOBA DeckPrepare according to the technical information.
• Drying 1 hour. Wait for complete drying
• Apply LOBA DeckFinish
• Drying min. 2 hours
• Apply the second layer of LOBA DeckFinish
  

Follow-up treatment

• Basic cleaning with LOBA DeckDegrayer according to the technical information of the product, alternatively sand the surface with appropriate machine.
• Apply LOBA DeckPrepare according to the technical information.
• Drying 1 hour. Wait for complete drying
• Apply LOBA DeckFinish
  To maintain the visual value of the decking in the long term, we recommend an annual basic cleaning and recoating of the decking.
